Sunscreen is still important in winters.
Skin solutions: Cracked heels- Soak feet in warm water every night and apply moisturiser containing glycerine, urea, salisalic acid and paraffin. Chapped Lips- Frequent licking should be avoided. Keep them moisturised with lip balms and lipsticks for ladies.

Moisturise more- Look for moisturizers which are oil based and do not clog pores. Use heaters with humidifiers.
Avoid hot showers- Excessive hot water can break lipid barriers and lead to loss of moisture, instead use Luke warm water.
Hydrate your body- Drink plenty of water and eat lots of fruits. Minimise the use of blow dryers in winters.
Dr Vikram Jeet Singh Dhingra, cosmetic surgeon at Bodysculpt and Cosmo hospital, suggests:
Protect face & hands- While sitting in the sunlight face and hands are affected the most, so apply good amount of sunscreen.
Sun exposure- Indians usually suffer vitamin-D deficiency, so sufficient amount of sun exposure daily is important.
Wear sunglasses- Wear shades to prevent pinching of eyes which causes early wrinkling.
Use sunscreen inside a car- A green house effect is created in a car because of sun light which increases the effect of UV rays. So, use of sunscreen is crucial.
Cleansing- Cleansing once a day is important and if exposed to dirty environment then frequency should be increased.
Skin ageing- Frequent change of temperature should be avoided. Medical treatments like- Obagi peels, PRP therapies, botulinum toxin injections, hyaluronic acid fillers and latest antioxidant mixtures for oral intake are recommended to delay signs of ageing in winters.
